At exactly 5.50am this morning, the biggest sporting event in Belize took off from the BTL -Park, and 111 riders did the traditional slow ride to the official starting line. The 93rd. annual Cross-Country-Cycle-Race started at the official starting line at 'Leslies Imports' at 6:00:00am and the winner crossed the finish line at 11:44:48am based on ComuTime tracking on digitalBelize.Live 144miles 370yards.

The 31st. Annual KREM New Years Day Cycle Race was an exciting ride, from the Belize-Mexico Border (Santa Elena) to Belize City.
In the last 5 miles of the race Brandon Cattouse of the Valvoline team caught up with his teammate 'Derrick Chavarria' and they rode to the finish line on Central American Blvd. in front of the Civic Center. Derrick Chavarria took second place as the riders did not compete for 1st. place and sprint to the Finnish-Line.
According to the race organizers and sponsors, 'Kremandala Ltd.' the first year of the 91 mile race was January 1st. 1991.
