The family and friends of Melvin Hulse has indicated that he passed-away. Hulse died Tuesday night April 5th. at St Luke Hospital in Belmopan. He was the former area representative for the Stann Creek West constituency, ( the largest in the country ).
Melvin Hulse was an out-spoken and plain-talking politician who left the UDP in August 2015 and said that the then Prime Minister and leader of his party (UDP) was a cheap-hustler getting rich on the backs of the people of Belize. For that he was accused of liable and a public apology was demanded by the then PM.
He was interviewed by channel 7’s Jules Vasquez in mid January 2022 and by his own words he stated that he had cancer. Melvin Hulse was 74yrs-old. He was a Belizean white-man, and a stalwart representative who believed in handwork and service to the people of his constituency. Melvin Hulse was an advocate for the development in the Stann Creek Valley communities.
