Men Remanded For Producing Pro-Gang Video: The Court Report March 9th. 2022

Two Fabers Road  resident are remanded to jail after being charged with producing  a video recording to promote a gang related activity and using a video recording to promote a gang activity!” George Godfrey Lewis, 25, and Julius Anthony  Dawson, 23 pleaded not guilty and remanded  to prison until May 18, 2022″

Tonight two Belize City  men of the Fabers Road area are on remand  at the Belize Central Prison after they were accused of producing and posting a video displaying gang related connections; and they displayed a firearm in the video. 

It’s a daring  act to commit in today’s violent  and deadly streets and for their careless  actions of posting the video which went viral,  they are on remand  at the Belize Central Prison after they both pleaded not guilty to criminal charges of producing  a video recording to promote gang activity and for using a video recording  to promote a gang activity, which included the use of a firearm.

They are George Godfrey Lewis, 25, and Julius Anthony  Dawson, 23, both men reside at a Fabers Road Extension address in Belize City. 

The duo appeared  unrepresented before  Senior Magistrate, Tricia Pitts-Anderson in Court #3 where they were read two criminal offenses. Dawson alone was charged with the offense of producing  a video recording to promote a gang related activity.

Allegations are that he alone on or before January 2022 at #40 Fabers Road Extension, Belize City, produced a video recording that promoted a gang related activity that is a possession of a firearm without  a gun license for which he pleaded not guilty to.

Meanwhile the duo were jointly charged with the offense of using a video recording  to promote gang activity of which they both pleaded not guilty to. Due to the nature  of the offense they were denied bail and remanded  into custody at the Belize Central prison until May 18, 2022.
