Lives Forever Changed: Charged For A Shooting Death When He Was A Teen – The Court Report, Feb. 14th. 2022

Stephan Bowen was 19 years old, But today he is 22, and he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter for the October 15, 2018 murder of 49-year-old, Elroy Saldano who was shot twice whilst riding on Peter Secco street behind BWSL Compound.

He is the first person to plea guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter, and tonight 22-year-old, Stephan Bowen is awaiting sentencing set for March 30, 2022 before newly appointed Judge, Justice Ricardo Sandcroft of Jamaican.

This morning Bowen plead guilty, based on the advise of his attorney, Oscar Selgado, and evidence of video footage that showed Bowen as the shooter. Subsequently the judge entered a guilty plea for manslaughter. 

At the young age of 19, Bowen was accused and charge of the murder and remanded to prison After 3 years and 4 months in jail he is now awaiting his fix sentence for the amount of years left to serve behind bars.

On the day of the shooting that turn deadly for Saldano on Peter Seco Street, in Belize City. Saldano was ambushed by Bowen who fired two shots at hi, hitting him in his back. Saldano was hospitalized, but succumbed to his injuries eight days later on October 23, 2018 due to complications from his gunshot injury.

The doctor who examined him confirmed that he died from multiple organ failure due to the gunshot injury.
