If you heard Fire-Works last night in Belize city and wondered if someone had some grand birthday party, – It wasn’t. It was the beginning of the Chinese New Year. (February 1st.)
But it is not always the same date every year, because the Chinese calendar does not correlate to the same dats all the time with the Gregorian Calendar, which we use in Belize.
About 2 Billion people in the world are Chinese, and the Chinese New Year is equivalent to our January 1st. (NEW YEARS DAY)
