New LOO Sworn-In: and The Importance Of The True-Legal-Name of the New Leader Of The Opposition

Jamal ‘Shyne’ Barrow has been sworn in as the new LOO (Leader Of Opposition, In the House of Representatives.).

The signing of documents and official swearing-in took place this morning (February 1st.) in Belmopan.

For official context the legal name that ‘Shyne’ was christened with in Belize is Jamal M Barrow.
example: When documents are signed by anyone; including the new LOO, it has to be done in a true-legal name as it is here in Belize, otherwise it could become a technical / legal issue; unless he has changed his name in Belize.
No name change that took place in another jurisdiction can automatically apply to Belize unless those documents are vetted by Belize’s authorities.

The logic is simple, If a person arrived in Belize and presented fake documents to Belizean authorities that says their name was ‘John Smith’ but in reality that was not their true name, if Belizean Authorities did not verify the true name; or official name-change of that person, any document that person signs with an incorrect name would be void by decree.

This is the second time that Jamal ‘Shyne’ Barrow will be sworn in as LOO. The next ‘Sitting of the House Of Representatives’ will take place on Friday February 4th. at 10am in Belmopan; and the new LOO will take his chair with the other 4 opposition UDP representatives.
