PRESS Conference Canceled
There has been nail-biting anticipation for Faber’s supporters, about the ‘PRESS CONFERENCE’ scheduled for 3pm. today January 24th., and what will be Mr. Faber’s direction.
Many have voiced their support for, or against the call for the resignation of Patrick Faber as party leader and LOO.
At issue is the charge of alleged ‘domestic abuse’ by Faber, for which the charges have been dropped at the request of Shanika Arnold., the Fiancée of Mr. Farber.
Since Friday’s court hearing, there have been several opinions thrown into the media-foray. Most notable are the statements of UDP-Chairman Michael Peyrefitte, who said that Mr. Faber should step-down, then there are social media posts and or statements by UDP Hugo Patt and UDP Tracy Panton.
Additionally there is a press statement from the Special Envoy for Women & Children, calling for ‘Patrick Faber’ to Resign and denouncing domestic violence.
Mr. Faber’s statements this afternoon will probably be the most watched ‘Press Conference’ in the past few years.
It could be the end of a political career or the beginning a long process of his efforts to remain as ‘Leader of Opposition’ and Party leader of the UDP.
