This morning, a recent murder suspect who beat a murder charge is back behind bars after being pulled in by police who has now link him to one of the gangs in the city.
32-year-old, Dean Dawson a resident of Belize City is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being charged with being a member of a gang.
After pleading guilty, Dawson told Senior Magistrate, Tricia Pitts-Anderson that his cousin who is Dwayne Evelyn; and his brother-in-law Marvin Phillips are two convicted members of a gang and “so now dah just feh he turn”.
He begged the court for leniency saying he has a child on the way. With that said, Senior Magistrate, Tricia Pitts-Anderson did not accepted his guilty plea instead she entered an equivocal plea of not guilty for him and remanded him to prison until March 10, 2022.
